My Daily Life & The September Reading List

Hello everyone! I am excited for a light-hearted blog today – so that I can just chat and catch up with you guys. Especially after the last two blogs which were a little more “heavy” in nature…it will be nice just to laugh and have a good time.

If you missed out on the last two blogs feel free to check them out!

  1. Monday’s Blog: “Change.”
  2. Wednesday’s Blog: “The Delicate Scale of Mental and Physical Health”

So what have I been up to?  Well a lot and a little! If you read my “Change” blog you know that I am expecting a baby and that is leading to a lot of fun life changes and routine. I take prenatals everyday and have significantly reduced my coffee intake. I am moving in with my partner here soon so that’s leading to some packing and thinking about potential home decor which is super fun and exciting. On top of all that fun stuff- I am back in school! So that has all been keeping me pretty busy!

Some events of the past week have been interesting. I quit my bartending job for a few reasons but because overall I was no longer happy in the environment I was working in. This is a good reminder that if you are not being treated how you’d like or getting what you need out of a job- you have the power to change that. Of course, I recommend you for sure having another job lined up before you jump ship like I did…but that is neither here nor there. I also lost my keys that had- house, car, and my work keys…LAST TUESDAY.

I have torn apart my house multiple times, searched the yard, interviewed the dog, ripped apart my car….NOTHING. It has become a funny segment on my instagram stories…and a ridiculous segment in my life. I have no idea how I have possibly managed to lose my keys into thin air…but hey- I am a talented gal.

Chonk and Charles- the beloved pets are doing great. Chonk is shaved again and just as needy as ever. I think she can sense that she is not going to be the center of attention anymore- and is milking it. Charles is the rat king of the house (he’s a guinea pig, but close enough) and loves his carrots. I recently purchased a bigger playpen that he loves to play in when my roommate’s dog isn’t out and about.

Overall- doing great and I am excited for the future! Before this blog gets too long- I would like my dad to be able to get through one this week (LOL)- let’s get into my September reading list.
